My name is Burton Hataway and I have lived in the Auburn/Opelika area since 1995. I have watched as they have grown from "laid-back, sleepy" towns into the bustling, thriving metroploitan area it is today.
I have been a REALTOR® since 1998 and have held my broker's license since 2005. I have worked at such real estate companies as RE/MAX, Keller Williams and eXp before becoming the qualifying broker at EXIT Realty Anchor South. I have earned the designations of GRI (Graduate REALTOR® Institute) and CRS ( Certified Residential Speialist), but the one I am most proud of is the ABR (Acreddited Buyer's Representative). It has been my privilege to have helped buyers and sellers for over 20 years with perhaps their most valuable financial asset . . . their HOME!

Raised as an "Air Force Brat", I earned degrees from Houston Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and was a Minister of Music in various churches across Texas, Louisiana and Alabama for 20+ years before becoming a REALTOR® in Auburn, AL. I, and my wife Carolyn, are active members First Baptost Church Opelika where he sings in the choir and directs various vocal and instrumental ensembles.
