Donnell Spivey named president-elect at 65th Annual National Association of Real Estate Brokers' Convention
CLEVELAND Donnell Spivey was named President-elect of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the 65th Annual National Convention, held in Cleveland, Ohio.
Spivey was installed along with other NAREB officers at a gala awards event held during the conference. When he officially takes office in August 2013, at the NAREB 66th Annual National Convention to be held in Denver, Colorado, he will become NAREB's 28th national president.
"I am excited to step up and serve my colleagues in NAREB as we work together to take our organization to the next level, while building on the success of our current president, Julius Cartwright's administration. We must continue to develop solutions to the housing and foreclosure crisis facing African-Americans and our neighborhoods," said Spivey. Spivey brings more than 27 years of deep-rooted experience in the real estate industry, and a keen eye for business opportunities as the broker and owner of EXIT Spivey Professional Realty in the Baltimore metropolitan area.
Spivey and his team of seasoned agents are recognized as one of Ellicott City's most trusted real estate companies committed to community building and sustainable homeownership. His expectation of excellence and integrity in the real estate profession prompted him to join the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB), one of the nation's oldest minority trade organizations.
